Tubibe Amahoro (TA), meaning “Sow Peace,” is a Rwandan non-governmental organization founded in 2000 in response to the aftermath of the Genocide against the Tutsi. Established by 30 committed members, the organization was created to contribute to national healing, reconciliation, justice, and sustainable development by addressing the social, economic, and governance challenges facing communities across Rwanda.

Over the past 25 years, Tubibe Amahoro has grown from a small community-based initiative into a respected civil society organization operating in multiple districts across Rwanda. Guided by the principles of peace, solidarity, liberty, equality, and human dignity, TA works to build an equitable society where human rights are respected, justice is accessible, and every citizen has the opportunity to participate in shaping their future.

Our work focuses on four strategic pillars: Civic Participation, Access to Justice, Gender Promotion, and Environmental Protection & Rural Development. Through community dialogue, legal empowerment, mediation, advocacy, capacity building, women’s empowerment, environmental conservation, and livelihood improvement programs, we strengthen community resilience and promote inclusive development.
